Anybody remember Star car transporters from Southampton i remember they were blue with a white star on the door they had Ford D series then F86’s and after that F7’s Dave coombes from Salisbury used to do there fitting work he also did my scanny 110 when i started as an owner driver he did his training at Unit Commercials the Scania agents from Salisbury would be nice to see a pic or 10.
I do remember them when I was on Carfax at about the same time. We moved Datsuns and Fords from Southampton along with quite a lot of other subbies at the time. Drunken, happy days!! (sorry, don’t have any pics of Star though)
Another few to keep the pot boiling. The black and white photo cars are Nash Metropolitan, I have memories of a similar but smaller Nash Metropolitan being made at Longbridge, mostly for export, you older hands might know more.

Hi buzza, I keep trying, not a bad input for somebody who left transporters in 1968, a wee bit desperate having to look abroad for pics, but it keeps the pot boiling and the craic going , anyway the brazilian artics with eleven up are fairly impressive. Take care
