car driver

best one I had was when I was fuelling up at Newport pagnell s/b one morning. lady in a WH smiths uniforms was writing down my reg while in her car. I asked her what she was doing and her reply was, she was reporting me for illegally parking and blocking her from getting to work. I then explained to her the black hose thing with the sliver nozzle was a fuel delivery system that enabled vehicles to operate, and in actual fact we where standing in what is commonly known as a garage forecourt and these are designed to store fuel and dispense it to motorists in exchange for cash. her choice of words after that wasn’t worthy of a retail member of staff from such a fine firm like smiths

A few years ago when I was sparkying, I queued up at tesco Milton to fill my van up. When I finally got to the pump, the ■■■■ in the car behind me approached and said, in a very posh voice, ‘do you mind if I jump in in front if you? I think you’ll find that my time is considerably more valuable than yours’! I won’t repeat what I said, but i have never taken so long to fill a van tank before!

pulled into leigh delamere services the other day and went past the hgv fuelling and parked further up so i was not blocking the pumps, jumped out my wagon and walked back to the shop,as i did so i saw an expensive mercedes car stop in the first pump lane and he got out locked his car and was about to walk inside when i asked him what would happen now if an hgv driver wanted to fill up,his reply was i will only be a minute, what is it with these dicks in their cars he knew he was wrongly parked but carried on regardless and as usual he was a lot longer than a minute walking around the shop taking his time before going to the counter for a coffee,by the time i came out there was an hgv waiting to diesel up,

They are trying to get their numbers up to match the dicks in their lorries.

i assume you are an hgv driver,so you are calling yourself a ■■■■ as well, are you not

the point being they have their spaces, hgvs have theirs, its just laziness, the car drivers would soon complain to management if we took up half a dozen spaces with lorries, also you know the saying for sarcasm

You’re probably wondering why you bothered posting now.

not really, no,as you know this is a forum and we are all entitled to put on here what we like, and to look at the answers preferably without sarcasm

Ok might a bit of nothing, but don’t you think people who park blocking pumps to go shoppping, whether they’re in a car or truck are selfish and arrogant?

truck stops/ MSAs have PARKING AREAS! :sunglasses: FORECOURTS are for refuelling  YES THEY’RE VERY SELFISH/ ARROGANT people! :imp: but I’ve a motto which I stick to religiously " paid by the hour, take the scenic route! :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: "

i wander how bobs doing ?

You’re all missing the point. There was a driver on his way to tescos, who was held up for 2 mins by this moron, causing him to run out of time on the bay. As you know, the local traffic plod are called to chalk him off, which costs us tax payers money, and more importantly, took that fine officer away from his vital duties, of targeting dangerous hgv drivers doing 41 on a single carriageway. Due to this berk in a merc, at least £3 million of tax payers money was wasted and 7.3 people were killed on the A4

Not to mention the children who were orphaned by his selfish attitude!

How dare a HGV wishing to fuel up so it may distribute its vital goods around the county, impede on this man doing his weekly shop in a service station, :open_mouth:

How dare someone wishing to buy a coffee on his way to what could possibly be a far more important and vital job in his “expensive Mercedes car”, impede upon this HGV driver, forcing him to wait for a minute, maybe two, before he can draw his fuel. :open_mouth:

Exactly, How dare this sorry excuse for a human being make a noble HGV driver wait up to 2 mins… 2 [zb] mins FFS, to put diesel in his company vehicle!!! I sure hope the police were called immediately to deal with this criminal, obviously he was late and on his way to deal drugs to school children, so didn’t have time to park properly… :grimacing:

it was actually longer than two minutes

Had nothing else to do whilst taking a 15 on the pumps, lol

Is there only 1 pump there ? personally i dont see the problem, unless he was blocking the route or all of the pumps. Makes me smile when i read of the car bashing, when most HGV drivers are also car drivers, admittedly, some have more sense than to park on a fuel pump for shopping, although i have too at times in certain circumstances.

I certainly do. No point saying anything though, dead heads don’t like to learn, see.

It’s fair enough if there’s no where else to park & if you can’t pull forward after fuelling then crack on for the toilet & your latte.
