Canadian livestock companies

thanks very much ive just done a little bit of research into obtaining an lmo and even if i’m going to qualify for the pnp in alberta’ it states you have to show that you the applicant has had a high school education… they need to see some kind of certificates well i dont actually have any certs’ has anyone else had these problems while applying for the pnp in alberta ’ the reason i was interested in alberta it seems there are a lot of ranches and feedlots in that state …hence must be a lot of livestock companies’ but if it’s easier to obtain a work permit lmo in another provence might be better of looking there

A high school education does not need to be proved to gain an LMO or work permit, just to gain PR, but as the Kraut says, you can get the required equivalent by following his links. Try contact the guy on my blog links who works as a cattle hauler and has the blog ‘mills move massive’ look on the right, I can’t post a link, as laptop is bust and I am using a mobile thing,

ive just spoke to another member on the forum he claims i would need a high school diploma or equivelant to gain pr in alberta

Alberta seems to make it harder and harder and to be it definetely seems stacked against the immigrant in many respects. For example, the company you work for is responsible for nominating you for PNP, whereas in the other provinces you apply for yourself which means the firm you work for doesn’t have your neck over a barrel and your future in their hands. Would you not consider SK or MB instead or are you set on AB?

hello friend i’m not set on AB but it does seem to be the beef capital of canadalots of feedlots and transport companies ’ and i have beeen in touch with two companies who have lmo’s at present i only contacted 1 company in manitoba and they didnt have a foreign driver programme

Yes you do buy not out of Brooks at the moment eh, LOL

Lol only ever did couple of XL loads and pain in the arse with final delivery being changed but can’t see them back open before the new year cargill trying to take up the slack but they a small plant working and max strength already

According to the news XL workers are going back to work

Taff, Cargill a small plant ?
Compared to where ?
Cargill produces 60% of Canada’s beef, XL, 30% & the rest spread across Canada.
Cargill kills 4500 head a day, over an 18 hr period averages 250 an hr or 1 every 14 seconds, producing 3 million lb’s or 1370 metric tons of beef a day.
Hardly a small plant.

Have any members come across any divers from Europe who are employed by livestock haulers

There’s an Irish fella on Steve’s trucking from bluemonort Manitoba with his own motor.

Got talking to him on the fuel pumps the other week said he come over and got permanent residence through big freight

I am in the UK at the moment sorting some stuff out, but, I am employed by an Ontario livestock company, with a Manitoba Visa. They are ALWAYS looking for drivers. Why do you want to work for a cattle company? Do you have a UK Hgv licence? and Livestock experience. I don’t mind giving you their details. Just wondering… why are you so insistent on Cattle when there are so many other jobs out there? You could of been out there and qualifying for pnp by now!
