Polishing is good, but for the love of god, use glass cleaner on the grab rails please. Part timer polished the grab rails over the weekend, nearly put me in hospital.
Anything but the awful shiny silicone lazy mans ■■■■■■
When I worked for Swifts all those years ago and run night trunk I shared an F7 with a gut for the first 3 years, I would clean the outside every shift and he would take care of the interior, to this day I have never seen a dashboard shine so much, it was like a mirror and not creasy like armoural would make it, it was bone dry and you could see your reflection in it…
… He used ‘Mr Sheen’, he would spray it vigourously over all the surfaces at start of his shift and leave it, at the end of each shift he would buff it off, the result was amazing.
Well Sainsbury’s microfibre cloths seem to be the way to go for my cars’ windscreen and dashboard.
mr sheen everytime used it for 20 years and still the best

Now i cant get this vision of my head. A hairy arse lorry driver gyrating around the cab, with a feather duster . . adorning a pair of y fronts !!
I find old t shirts (not polo shirts) work really well on windscreens.
Pledge or Mr Sheen for dash plastics and good old fashioned baby wipes for steering wheel and rubber stuff
An old newspaper for window cleaning, Interior, exterior or mirrors. 2-3 scrunched up damp pages first to get rid of the muck and then wipe off with 2-3 dry pages, works a treat.
For the Interior plastics, I like Wilkinson’s Everyday Value Furniture Polish (It’s a big Yellow tin). At about 30p a can it’s a lot cheaper than Mr Sheen and has that good old fashioned wax polish smell.
I use newspaper on the windows at home. Never thought to use it for the lorry windows
Cant beat a pair of old microfiber underpants with a splash of vinegar .
