Dave the Renegade:
Hi Trevor,
Was Perry’s based by the Lion Cafe ? Had a look around the Lion Quays, beautiful place next to the canal, but I expect you need a healthy bank balance to use the place. The Lazy Kettle transport cafe belonging to Pickstock’s is more my type of eating place.
Cheers Dave.
hello Dave how are you ? Perrys the recovery people were in Gobowen on the St martins road . Also their was afirm called QFS who had those big Fords and leyland T45s , they would come to Shotton , but i dont know if they were any thing to do with Perrys , i bet OXO will know .
Yes very posh that Lion quays with famous footballers going there and the like , as for the Kettle they do a very good roast ! thank you Trevor .
I have seen Perry’s place up at St Martins Trev, been up to Nev OXO3’s yard for a chat a few times.
A lot of history up there on that old site.
Cheers Dave.
Trevor, Clive Heathcote (perrys) Started QFS Trans, But he did not keep it going long, Concentrated on Perrys and outgrown Gobowen and moved to St Martins & became Renault truck dealer

They still have a Volvo F7 unit among the potato boxes Keith, which they still use as far as I know. Tidy spuds from there, which are on sale to anyone. They don’t spend a lot on themselves, probably a new pair of Wellies now and again.
Cheers Dave.
ec14:
That transcontinental did belong to T.D.Williams and was driven for a while by Eifion Phillips.
Hi ec14 thanks for that , i know Tommy had quite a few subbies with Ford Cargoes .
Dave that farm still sells spuds then ! Will look out for the F7 when i am up that way again . regards both Keith
Hi CC,

That’s definitively A470 top side of Newbridge on Wye Keith. T D Williams wagons used to take the short cut over Llanafan from Newbridge to Beulah until they put a weight limit on that road.
Cracking pic CC.
Cheers Dave.
