Dunno why I had 2 goes at posting that…■■ My old age must be catching up with me I reckon…!!!
Did you work for Sitra…■■ I think I last saw you about 10/12 years ago in Ashford Truck Stop. You had a fridge behind you if I recall…■■
Graham Smith. SMIFFY…!! Glad the old feller is still goin strong…!!
On the way back from playing Golf with Bob Mills and Wayne I had to stop for a pee. Doing up me zip and I got me ■■■■ caught in it. When I got home I had to cut round me trousers to take em off…!! Put on another pair of trousers then went to the hospital with the whole zip attached!!! A bit embarrassing going to A&E and having to whisper to the Nurse what i’d done…!! The Doctor asked if he could take a photo for their ‘wall of fame’…!! They got it sorted for me in the end and it gave em all a laugh at the hospital…!! Yep…it didn’t stay quiet for very long…!! When I turned up for work the next day everybody started to call me ‘zippy’…!!! Wayne ribbed me no end about it…!! Dunno what Wayne does now though as I haven’t seen him since I left Brownies…■■
I was loading railway sleepers somewhere in France and as I went under the trailer to get to the other side I caught my head on a hook. I had to be taken to the local hospital. I ended up with 7 stitches in my head…!! They had to send out another driver to pick me up from the hospital. Can’t remember his name though. Skinny bloke with glasses. I might remember his name if it’s mentioned in future posts so I’ll keep an eye open.
Just remembered where it happened…Chateauneuf or Neufchateau… can’t remember which way round though…!! I could google it but I can’t be arsed…!! All jolly good fun though…!!
I remember you now!! how you doing?
Wayne had a bad accident driving a tipper in a quarry,(ran up the arse of a tipper)
the last I heard he was in a wheel chair.
if you want to get hold of oldball his id on here is vodka-ad
Bloody hell…!! What a shame. Such a nice bloke. I had no idea whatsoever. I thought he would be at Brownies forever…■■ Is Browns still going then mate…■■ I was chatting to a couple of drivers in Castets a few years ago and they told me that Geoffrey had passed away. They weren’t too certain as to whether or not the firm was still going though…
Thanks for the update on Oddball. I’ll have a go at tracking him down later tonight… I don’t drive anymore. I just felt like I had enough. When I left Browns I was doing European work again. Mainly on the fridge. I just lost interest about 4 years ago so decided to pack it in. I retired myself and just take me dog for nice long walks everyday…!! I’m happy enough and I don’t want for nothing.
I did the same woke up one morning and thought I’ve had enough ,
