Dan Punchard:
I always move left up near the services and go round the round about in the left lane as 2 lanes on 2 lanes off ,why go in the right lane it’s car driver mentality as displayed by the one that cut you up .
Well I know, she was a woman though, you can take the left hand lane going right as long as you’re sure no one in the right hand lane is going straight on & you watch for people changing lanes right to left after the m5 junction & aren’t a ■■■■ about it.
Anyway, no more from me on this really, i won’t feed the trolls, know-alls & considerably better drivers than me.
18 years hgv, no accidents, 21 years car, no accidents.

It looked like a bit of an overreaction to me. Just an excuse to show everyone how loud your horn is and how small your willy is. You big gay drama queen.
Have to agree with this! Complete overreaction! You were already going slow enough to stop behind the one already at the line and could’ve easily stopped behind the Micra, but from the video you can see you decided to give her a fright by easing off the brakes and deliberately made an exaggerated “swerve” round her when you had no need to do so . What were you saying in your OP about sometimes driving a like ■■■■? This is one of those times, right?
edit: just seen 2nd vid now. You were doing about 15mph and then continued swerving down the road and onto the rbt for another 100 yards before finally getting your ■■■■ together? LMAO. Come on SS, even you’ve got to admit none of this was necessary at all if you’d just pressed the brake pedal a little bit more to begin with. I think Contraflow summed it up best - you big gay drama queen!
Silver_Surfer:
Well, what an inane & retarded comment, I thought id get a few of those. It was a beemer unless I’m mistaken & id have stopped in time for that.
so how hard were you braking, if you’d have stopped in time for the mazda but didn’t have the extra 12 feet for the micra?
Not very as id judged it right, read all the comments on the you tube man ffs, i had 20 tonnes of conkers on a flat bed.

lol, how did i know it would be my fault, goodnight, ladies.

well I’m not seeing any comments on youtube, “ffs”, so I’ll just put it down as a proud new owner of a dashcam, looking for footage to upload. but as you had “judged it right”, if the miata had stopped 12 feet short of the place he actually stopped at, you’d had been in the same predicament, no?
Silver_Surfer:
You may criticise me all you want, I occasionally drive like a ■■■■ , this was not one of those times. youtu.be/opVSsCTp-ZI
Part 2… youtu.be/SqeJ2L3HvfE
What me criticise…never… looks like a nice bit of driving to me, sometimes we have to over-react a little to help car drivers realise they may have dropped a bollock… bet she / he will be a little more wary next time they decide to cut into a trucks stopping distance…

Yes but the left lane is also for traffic rejoining the M5 from the services so it’s not like all traffic in the left hand lane is going to join the M50.
Micra driver is obviously a ■■■■■■ for cutting in…BUT…
you were going too fast/ massively over reacted!!
The MX5 was already stopped and there was traffic an the roundabout so he wasn’t about to move and judging by how far past the car on the inside lane you went (on the hard shoulder) I don’t think you would have stopped with any finesse even if the Micra wasn’t there.
However I do think there is some merit in over reacting sometimes because the car drivers are generally so oblivious to the mayhem they cause it takes a little drama to enlighten them. Often if there is a car on or over the white line on a bend I’ll massively exaggerate my response by throwing my arms up in front of my face as if I’m going over a cliff. They probably wonder wtf I’m up to but it might just make them think next time
[CSI:TN]
To be honest, I’ve watched it a few times now and there is no doubt the camera doesn’t fully convey the scene accurately. Clearly, the Micra has entered your braking zone and they are at fault (imo) at that point. The horn and swerving is pure reaction. However, after that the swerving from lane to lane on the roundabout is a bit knee-jerk and I think perhaps you should have pulled onto the hard-shoulder (on the r/a) and gave yourself a few moments to compose yourself before continuing.
At least you are honest enough to admit that your driving isn’t always perfect, and the most important thing is what you take away from it from this near-miss.

It won’t enlighten them though. They’ll just think what a plonker and carry on.
That’s what I’d think if I was I’m my car and saw a professional cough cough driver swerving about all over the place for no reason.
Sorry but I agree with Contraflow (that’s a first), total gay drama queen. If the car on the line hadn’t moved by the time you got behind it, just how close were you intending stopping your load of conkers? How long is a micra? You then swerved over onto the hard shoulder? Christ almighty you come across as a tool for that maneuver. Even after the roundabout you swerve about, no doubt hanging out the window like a stereotypical knuckle dragger.
The original incident is the sort of thing that happens all the time, it’s how you deal with it that sorts out proper drivers from the others. You got out of it OK, fair enough. But what did the MX5 driver do to deserve that nonsense with the swerve, tailgating and flashing in the second clip? I didn’t see that driver do anything wrong, am I missing something?
