Tossco t’s and c’s have been on a steady downward spiral for the last 20 years or so. They closed Harlow when they opened Dagenham. They offered all drivers the opportunity to transfer to the new place on new t’s and c’s and pretty much to a man told them to eff themselves apparently. Anybody who was on a decent contract at Harlow rejected the chance to take a £5 ph drop in wages along with poorer rosters. They were phoning old drivers up after closing Harlow to see if they’d changed their mind and wanted to come and work in the ■■■■■■■■ that is Dagenham! :laughing:

Not Portbury specifically but I believe they’ve improved their rates this year to around the £14 mark.

Not Portbury specifically but I believe they’ve improved their rates this year to around the £14 mark.

That’s not bad at all. Just gotta try and get into these companies being a newbie class 1er :cry: I was looking into NFT too, looks like ADR deal with them - anyone know anything about them?

That’s not too bad then - I would hope there would be a premium for night and weekend too? I guess it can’t hurt for me to enquire.

There’s so many to choose from you’ll end up with something I’m sure of it. Don’t forget there’s also The Range, B & M, Nisa, Superdrug, Samworths and a new Lidl coming to town.

Thanks Mate, yeah I hope so - I guess I don’t like too much change so i’m trying to keep things similar to how it is now. It’s gonna be hard if I have to take a drop in pay for more hours after shelling out for a class 1.

Ideally I’d find a £32k + Night job on a 5 on 3 off or 4 on 4 off who will take on a new driver! I don’t even mind working weekends! Just want to try and at least keep the money similar and still have at least 3 days free as I have young kids and a working wife, so we kinda had it all set up nicely until the redundancy announcement :cry:

I think i’m gonna contact ADR network on Tuesday as they have a few jobs listed for new drivers (obv I still have to pass my test!) so it would be good to get something lined up for when my current job ends.

Thanks :slight_smile: Yes I will do! Test booked for 24th 25th 26th April and last day in current job (Kuhene + Nagel) May 8th, so fingers crossed all being well I can leave and go into class 1 rather than class 2 :open_mouth: :sunglasses:

+25% between 22:00-06:00 +25% for weekends +25% after 42.5hrs overtime can be banked and used for extra days off.

Try Bull, he has been known to take on newly qualified youngsters. The work is boring (Tesco store work) but it’s good for experience and he can very flexible with the shift patterns. Sorry I no longer have a number for him. Maybe someone else will
