Blood, Sweat and Broken China (the Removals thread)

Hi Steve,
You could not write that …who the hell was this guy they had to bring a brand new top of the range truck to you !!!
Surely this guy can not be a full time employee. …Agency ■■? Who thinks he can drive…would not be happy at all with that situation mate…no dobt your on the case…the truck looks the dogs inside and out just a shame it’s taken the shine off the moment.

Carl Williams:
Here is another new Corgy model

I haven’t even got one of the models yet. When I saw it on Facebook I copied the photo and put it on my facebook page & on here, and about 30 of my friends on Facebook are wanting them. Many have the O model Bedford in our 1949 livery that was out the end of last year. Later this year an AEC Mercury tractor unit with 40 ft van trailer should be out. It will be a bit of a mix-match as the trailer will be a 1984 model in our 1984 livery and the tractor unit is 1974. Here’s a photo of my own O model. If & when I get a TK which is based on our 1969 FPT780G a KE 6 tonner I’ll take a photo of them together

“JAKEY” Thats bad luck chap with regard to the damage the bell end of a driver did to your new motor. :smiling_imp:

Looks very smart, what gvw is that chassis out of intrest ?

Interdean mighty Bedford draw bar.

Thank you Deanb FOR THE PHOTO OF THE MIGHTY Bedford drawbar ,although I would of thought this would of been a dog to drive with those non turbo engines .

Being based in Liverpool, John Mason Removals operated this Leyland Comet flat lorry to
carry containers to and from Liverpool Docks, when there were regular sailings from the
port to many destinations worldwide. Canadian Pacific sailed weekly to Montreal, Cunard
to New York. This ship is M.V. Aureol of Elder Dempster Line who sailed regularly between
Liverpool and West Africa. I think the drivers cab on the Leyland could be from Homalloy
bodybuilders at Preston, who may have built Masons coachbuilt furniture vans.

Jakey, Thank you for your remark. If you go to page 30 on this thread, and scroll down to the post
that Eddie (Oiltreader) put on regarding John Mason, 23/1/2017, and click on the www link, you will
