That one has probably got powered steering. Driving them fully loaded, always front axle heavy and with NO powered steering was fun!! I had two with 2000 cubic feet bodies without powered steering, good for the arm muscles!

Hi Bullitt
We found the Bedford KF’s not too bad, without power steering, if we changed the radial tyres on the front for Crossply, athough after about 1973 all then had power steering. However much worse in the early seventies we had 6 or 7 Seddon Pennine, the passenger chassis fitted with integral bodies by both Marsden and Vanplan. In fairness they were longer than the Bedfords we had up to that time and the front axle was set back. All were odered with power steering and somehow one came without. We put it on the road as it was and the driver who had been allocated it came in and said it was impossible to drive. We were unable to fit the manufacturers power steering as the acess due to the body etc made this impossible and therefore had another system fitted that worked off the air system that also powered the brakes. It was effective but did draw air from the braking system that I seem to remember caused probllems on one occasion. Here is a photo of one of these Seddons, taken whilst working in a city centre.

Is the Bedford still in work or just for show now?
Would be brilliant if it was.

Not much ground clearance for that diesel tank.
