Hi Jakey,
Always interested in your local postings but I remember a large depository along the Botley road in my BRS years , there was a newspaper shop in the same block opposite the old ‘Majestic’ cinema . it was my normal stop early mornings, I cannot remember who they were but had a largish fleet at that time .thanks. toshboy
Hello Toshboy ,it was Bishop move , the store/depository is still there but a firm called “MAJESTIC” own it ,not sure if Bishops ever owned the store or if they own the site still though , very old place and a bit creepy to be honest , its quite handy for students but for a mover its a pain in the arse as the loading bay is small and parking is not great .

This old girl was only pensioned off in very recent years, according to his family he did a colossal mileage in it but whenever I drove past his house on Boythorpe Road it was always parked on his drive! Not my pic, lifted from facebook.0
Pete.
Looks like John Murphy’s yard with the ex Dudley Mix and Wulfruna Guy in the background.
Toshboy ,yes there was a news paper shop in that block as per my answer to your question above ,it was handy when you were dieing for a drink in the summer months ,long gone now though ,but now across the road in Waitrose .
A couple more of H.Smith & Sons trucks.
