Best trucking Movies?

Suedehead:
I do recall a film called “Alfie darling”. The singer Alan Price was in it, driving a Volvo F89

Oh yeh I remember that, a guy and his mate running Europe.
It was supposed to be based on or a follow up to Michael Caine’s ‘Alfie’.
A useless bit of info, but Michael Caine on that with his neat blonde hair and sharp expensive suits was the spitting image double of my late Father in law…(Amsterdam’s answer to Ronnie Kray btw. :open_mouth:  )

I just watched the film in the YouTube link, "a load of pheasants "

Wow. Just wow!

wasnt Elvis a truck driver in a film, and in real life for an electrical firm before he got famous?

I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned The highjackers from 1963. There was also an old black and white film with Diana Dors but can’t remember the title.

To be honest, Hijackers wasn’t really worth a mention - it was crap !

What about the film that was on tv this morning, it was The big gamble made in 1961 set in Africa. Google says the wagon is a 1940 Crossley Q type. It’s got your treacherous mountain roads and perilous river crossing just like Hijackers :sunglasses: .

You guys are too old.

Mad Max Fury Road is BY FAR the best trucking movie ever.
