Nanci Griffith a famous American singer. Lands End similar to Mumford and Sons. Have a listen to either of them on youtube.
Rolling Stones
Queen
Most 60s music
And not many peoples choice The Band of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards
I like music with attitude. I like some early rap, from back in the days before it was all about bling and materialism, and a lot of proper folk music like The Dubliners and Ewan MacColl. I can’t stand the modern breed of twee singer songwriters who seem to feature on the Radio 2 folk awards all the time and merely make a pleasant noise without actually saying anything.

They are very good and they sound perfect for you
My eclectic choice of music today :
Naughty by Nature (old skool hip-hop trio from New Jersey),
Richard Thompson (Brit - folksy, bloody good fingerpicker and songwriter),
The Distillers (now sadly dis-banded, raucous punk rockers from L.A.)
XTC - some real classics came from this Swindon outfit.
Weezer (pop-rockers from L.A.),
The Wildhearts - (Geordie rockers)
China Drum - (Northumberland rockers)
RT - have used my monthly data allowance on my 3G dongle already, but will check out Gangstagrass at the earliest opportunity!
On my IPOD for use at the Gym
Bad Romance - Lady Gaga
Speeding Light - Maddona
Valerie - Amy Winehouse
Less Conversation - Elvis
Move Like Jagger - Maroon 5

Ride On Time - Black Box
Loves Unkind - Donna Summer
