Best mobile network?

I’m on 3 and not many places I can’t get decent internet speeds average is about 4 mbs, some places 10 mbs is the norm.
If you want a decent speed, don’t park any were near loads of trucks, Huntingdon ind est gets slowed down on a night due to all the drivers knocking one out watching **** tube.
3 is also upgrading all customers with a 4g phone to the 4g network for free! As it is rolled out across the country!

6 weeks to go then im out of my contract with Vodafone after 20 years with them and i will be changing as my signal is getting worse all the time. Beware though, i was told by Vodafone when they rang me to try and get me to renew/upgrade that Vodafone and O2 are merging in the very near future. Im thinking of giving the Virgin £15 sim deal a try, with that its only a 30 day contract if it does’nt work ok.

This might have been what they were referring to:

A lot of it is down to the phone aswell mind. I have a Blackberry and a Samsung Galaxy X Cover. The Samsung is 100 times better with signal than the Blackberry, same network and the Samsung will have signal all the time while it’s in and out on the Blackberry.

Rooster:
Virgin are selling sim only deals for £15 a month. Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited data.30 day rolling contract.

Virgin Media use the EE network which is pretty good in my opinion.

I’m on orange “EE”
Don’t seem to bad to be fair, signal i bounce from 3 bars to one thru the day that with a ■■■■ berry :unamused:

Glad to hear that it’s not just me is who is experiencing crap 3G coverage with Vodafone.
Due for an upgrade in January but I’m thinking of not bothering as their coverage is just getting worse, even near main cities its poor!
It’s marvellous that apart from crossing the French/Belgian border I can get 3G nearly all the way to Brussels but in the UK I struggle!
Come on Vodafone I need my xhamster some nights lol!!!

Three has the best geographical 3G/HSPDA coverage of any network in the country.

I left 3 a few years ago, went to Orange and couldn’t wait to get back to 3.

Any advice on what to use in Europe!

I’m on EE and pay £5 extra a month and my unlimited calls and texts are valid in Europe.

Am on 3 network , the One plan at £25 a month monthly rolling contract, unlimited internet I run my tablet and laptop no problems even streaming using my phone as a hotspot!

i think 3 mobile is the best im on the one plan and can use my phone as a wifi router so i can use my ipad online for free!!!

^this

On 02 as best for me although does lose reception in some parts have a 3 mobile wi fi thing never had a prob with that

Need a better phone as nowt but bother with my samsung galaxy

Run a poll, make it easy to see the opinion of people.

I’m on T-mobile and the signal on that is crap, spare phone is on Vodaphone and that’s not much better tbh.

Ive been on Vodafone for years , at one time it was very good but the past 12 months it’s been total crap. I find just about every time I make a call I have to re phone plenty of times just to keep the conversation going, this seems worse when calling from Vodafone to Vodafone. I once rang up to complain and said every time I make a call I have to ring half a dozen times to keep the conversation going, the Voda girl says well what was the conversation about . :open_mouth: :open_mouth: . . . . . I says what the ■■■■■ that got to do with anything lol ? Anyway she credited me 20 quid and problem solved in her eyes :imp: :imp: Vodafone you are CRAP.
I also wondered that is it these days the phones are fantastic for doing everything except making calls

If I remember rightly the government are doing something about the poor coverage areas across the country.

I know recently there was an article on the news about it because I looked up my local area and we are not being done till 2015.

O2 pay and go £15 a month all calls to any other o2 are free as well as texts and out of that £15, £10.25 gives me a bolt on so I can receive all calls outside of the UK for free. Have used a 3 dongle for the last 3 years £15 a month on contract for 3Gb coverage has been pretty good very rare to be parked up and have no signal

3 used to be woeful for coverage, so much so that I binned the contract not long after taking it out when they were young. Seem to hear better reports about them now.

Vodafone have always had the best reception in my experience.

EE 4g is a rip off. I was only with Orange over Vodafone as I preferred how they handled & reported missed calls but the rates for 4g are pretty steep if you use data so may change at renewal, not even that fast or reliable yet. They also let you put your data plan higher but not lower, double standards?

You’re never gonna get a decent answer to a question like this. All comes down to where you are at the time. I used to be on Orange but never had a signal in my house. Used to wind me up. Now I’m with O2 and don’t get a signal with them in my new house! Bloody annoying

terratology:
I’m on three for my ipad and there’s very few places I can’t get a good signal.

Same here, three is by far the best currently for network coverage.

I use a three contract on phone and ipad. I have never found myself without a connection.

Anyone thought about Tesco Mobile?
Seriously, me and brother got mum a new phone, some kind of HTC smartphone for £7.50 a month on contract - 500 minutes and texts…
I’ve got an iPhone 5 (now with crappy iOS 7 :smiling_imp: ) from them too…
