Cheers, cattle wagon man.

With the name “R. Dixon” on the cab doors, this Bedford owner has a cherished reg. no.: 940 RD.

Seen at the recent Hethersgill Rally, Carlisle.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Photographed on show at the Thirsk Truck Gathering, last weekend.

The last place I’d choose to kip,is in a horse box with horses kicking and panching about all night,I can never understand the attraction of “living accomodation” in a horse box :frowning: Bewick.

Some of them dont want a one-night-stand,.......they want a Three-Day-Event`. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers, anon.

Anyone got a piccie of those Brown Ercol Furniture liverered TK’s , the haulage company owner in High Wycombe was a relative of Ercolani if I remember right. And they had a very manky old tipper that took boiler ash to the tip. I drove one of them once …it was a horrible thing, you had to duck your head to see out as the seat was to high.

Tidy little tipper spotted at Kelsall Show last weekend.

You know you’re getting old when you go to a classic lorry event and you discover that you’ve driven most of the models on show!

Here`a a different view of the Bedford TK Horsebox.
The M reg. ( 1973/1974 ) TK has been cared-for during its lifetime.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

if they still made them especially with a tilt cab they would still sell the t.k.s. the km s where a load of cr^p.

I remember when the KM came out there were moans “but its only a 16 tonner” we are getting 15 ton gross on a TK (extra leaves in the springs & IIRC 9.00x20’s instead of 8.25 tyres)

A couple I saw at a show last weekend. The OWL was of interest to me, my earliest recollection of riding with dad was in one of those. I’d have been about 4 then I’m an OAP now!
