AdnanBBC:
To really get across the complexities of the work and the sacrifices made, showing the lengthy hours, sleeping on the road, being away from family / friends, etc. is something we would hope to factor in, should the story come across.
You’re confusing day tramping with night trunking. The only ‘sleeping on the road’ that night trunkers do is generally just before they either go off the road or into something.Or run out of driving time with no way of getting back to the yard. Although admittedly limiters set at 56 mph and/or hub system running, instead of pre limiter job and finish and direct links, often mean getting home a bit/lot later in morning.
Unless you’re looking for the probably much rarer idea of night trampers.
Some people are never pleased… either they are complaining about a total lack of support from the world in general, or becoming bored by good media coverage!
Anyway, please could this program spare a moment for the bread and milk company drivers delivering to supermarkets in the wee small hours, as I am one of them. Again though, I wouldn’t be found at a truckstop until late morning.
You will never make it on BBC3 CF, unless you can learn to display some inclusive positivity towards marginalised and under represented political oddities .

No, certainly not, most of you are some sort of van drivers and shouldn’t be cluttering up truckstops in the first place!

great a section on how your unable to wait in a queue and will pull up and block gates as your too important to even wait behind the supermarkets own suppliers (bread not milk).
I’d just like too add/suggest that it may be a good one too pop over the channel and do a week with a continental tramper OR a fly tipper who has too turn an burn…
Lets show the public what these poor blokes have to endure just so as we can have the cheap crap we so crave…
Oh and maybe make sure that those who do feature are ACTUALLY ALLOWED TO SPEAK THEIR MIND without fear of retribution from the h&s namby pamby mongs of bosses’ who obvs wont want Europe upset…
This programme has the potential to make a real spot light moment for the Industry, but is gonna be dull as dish water if the freedom of speech has to be spoken through a muzzle!!
PLEASE BBC3 FOR ONCE LET IT ALL BE TOLD HOW IT BLOODY IS, AND HOW IT IS FELT.

So who’s going to REALLY go out of their way to go on line and look the programme up??
Then are they really going to show the WHOLE industry in ONE, one hour episode, as they’ll be then moving onto ‘other’ night time industries??
It would take WEEKS or even months to show people what [ZB] HGV drivers have to put up with - AND then it would be heavily censored / edited to then make it ‘gripping’ too…
“Hey guys, yes we’re online only now - but 'its all good” WTF!!!

Excellent stuff, just love the commentators expressions.
“Something queer here”, seeing young lady hitchhiking on M1.
I thought quite the opposite to be fair.
