All over the world they’re bent as buggery, politicians in the pocket of the super rich not a glimmer of guilt or shame, schemers and social climbers crawling up said policians arses to get more £oot, never got enough loot see, political parties showing their true colours, the recent tory leadership shenanigens is a prime example of the ruling class driving a coach and horses through democracy and ought to be blindingly obvious to anyone actually awake.
The straight ones out there are vilified cancelled, a touch of honesty and decency brings out the useful idiots to jump up and down about sod all each doing their bit for the pieces of silver the super rich will arrange to be cast to the floor for them to scrat over, not a single thread of honour to be found. Its been going on all of my adult life, corruption, the decent sort standing head high above the gutter crawlers ought be honoured and respected but the opposite is the case, $$$£££ and the power they believe it gives them over others is all they care about.
Why can so many not see or even think for a minute or two.and another bus went past
Facts. Sadly we have to accept the way things are J.
Too many spineless to do anything about it. Stopping voting for the same two sets of pricks & vote Reform.
Quick! where’s my tiny little violin!

Thing is, Pablo Escobar was well liked by the poor people in his country, whereas the Baroness…
I wish I was Baron Bra
They still dont get it, do they? I suspect others on here don
t either.

No point at all. Even if 100 other people were as guilty as you, that doesnt make you innocent! And I haven
t seen any suggestion that all of the PPE supplied by everyone was substandard?
Agreed that the Gov has for a long time been negligent is chasing down bad practise, but I suspect that the next administration will be more keen.
(Kudos to Lord Agnew again)
Moaners gonna moan.

On occasion it reminds me of back when the first covid lockdown came on and there were the odd story of shopkeepers putting prices up on hard to find items, £10 for 4 bog rolls or the sort, to much outrage. When I first heard talk of the PPE Medpro deal and talk of £20 million, that didn’t sound unreasonable for a £200 mil deal, that £20 mil was £29mil, again modest margin. But then that was just the slice moved on by the Baroness’s husband from his £61mil. I’m sure he said he was fronting a consortium perhaps 3 parties, perhaps with uneaven amount of skin in the game, but if they were carving profit from a deal that they had before they had to place the order with the supllier, getting close to doubling your money if that was the case, sounds greedy.

This is a link to a year old article.
theguardian.com/uk-news/202 … pe-scandal
Basically Mone and Barrowman set up a limited company (PPE-MedPro) in 2020,. They marked up the goods by approx 100% Much of those goods are still in storage, incurring costs, because they are unfit.
The link is an old one, but is quite detailed in what happened. Worth the read.
Condemn me now, but if I was in the supply and demand game, and I had something the Govt wanted, I’d also be going for maximum mark up, if I could get away with hawking dodgy gear for that same mark up, I’d be right in there…if I thought I could get away with it, as these 2 did.
They are entrepreneurs they are business people, that is how it works, buy cheap sell expensive.
They took a chance and they got caught…end of .
Dont know about you lot but I ALWAYS check to see if there is an element of rip off before I buy something…looking after no 1, being streetwise, survival of the fittest etc etc.
That is why Ms Mohne’s other half does not drive a truck.
Now if all the ones on here making the most noise can say they would be a 100% honest, maybe you are a better man than me.
But whoever said honesty is the best policy was a tad naive to say the least.
As for ripping off the Govt, no qualms whatsoever, they have took a ■■■■ lot off me in the past.
Bring on the condemnation and the holier than thous, I love it.
Oh btw as for Mrs Mohne…I STILL ‘would’.
You build your profits on the entry price - and never EVER rely on the “Retail Price” to achieve the estimated profit desired… That way, even if you end up with a big pile of duds, you’ll still come out ahead…
You paid <10p/£ for the stuff to start with that you’re selling!
The same applies even moreso to savings and investments:
The entry price - should build in your estimated profit from the very start, and then normally rely on a “Black swan event NOT happening” to achieve that profit.
Punters (I.e. We voters) only seem to criticise the incumbent party however, rather than all party representatives at westminster (both houses) for their apparent financial misdeeds, which of course are invariably entirely legal for them to do.
“If you don’t like it - vote against them at the next election!” would be my advice to all on here…
I’ve already seen enough to put me off voting Conservative at this point.
…I’ve yet to see any reasons why I should vote Labour or Libdem though, and I always vote…
I wonder how many others feel the same way out there, what with “Price Conditioning” pieces in the press like this ANDREW NEIL: With Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un issuing New Year threats, the West's woeful leadership crisis means 2024 could become the year of the despots | Daily Mail Online seemingly setting us up to expect and “repel” a would-be supermajority REBEL government following the next election?
Nope. I reckon what the Western World needs right now is our own answer to Eastern Dictatorships - our very own Autocrat ready to rumble…!
If you want to chuck 'em ALL out - then vote to DO so, rather than just vote for the “opposition” because you believe the same-old lies that “You can only remove Tory by voting Labour” blah blah blah…

It’s unreasonable when all the PPE had to be binned because it was sub-standard.

Not quite. Not all binned exactly.

Medpro ppe is in storage and costing millions every year…
The spotlight is turning into a wide angle light.
Mone was moaning that she was not the only one “at it”. True enough, but if ten people are doing summat naughty it doesn`t make it less naughty.
The “Good Law Project” have released a lot of short clips with details of lots of different “goings on”.
One of them includes Clipper Logistics who were taken over after this particular chapter by GXO. Clipper, it is said, got a contract to provide £1million of PPE, then a different contract to store useless PPE…Details of donations to “the party” are detailed in the video.

A few more short videos have come out.
It appears that the info in this one has only surfaced because of a court case in the USA.
