Asked to move truck in services with fridge running?

Maybe a UK thing and plus i havent done work for many places over the years anyway over here and they dont exist but what is it with a ‘planner’? Yes i do know what they are but has the job actually been dumbed down that much that its not down to the driver to decide how best to do the job?? Theres the trailer, heres the paperwork and its away you go, thats pretty much how it works here anyway…

Quite a lot of planning goes on to get that load on that trailer and then given to you though. Planners are a fairly essential part of the business and you’ll deal with them even if they are called something else

yes, obviously someone has to direct which load goes where but we certainly dont have a specific person pointing out to a driver how to do their job and certainly not which route to take…

Daylight eh? And you ’ didn’t get chance ’ to speak to the chap

Fair enough. Quick word of warning though chap, if I ever walk around the side of my truck and I am confronted by a fella with a blade, I won’t hesitate.

So next time you decide to ’ serve justice ’ like some kind of fat, gutless modern day Judge Dredd, make sure it isn’t MY truck. You won’t have the skills  Cheerio.

Not sure why you’re quoting something I never said.

A word of warning that you won’t hesitate to what? have you listened to yourself? You’re not a very good driver and you’re not very good at the internet hardman talk either

I wouldn’t be anywhere near ‘your’ truck as it’s probably back at whatever hole the agency sent you to with you in tears at the wheel having driven back early because you lack the ability to complete a days work

A.

Very few companies do, that’s not what planning is

It’s nice to see a Stobart driver on these forums; I’m a huge fan. Whenever I’m parked up and see a Stobart driver I will always ask for a picture or an autograph. Some don’t tend to bother with Stobart aficionados like myself but others do. I’m happy you’re one of them and hopefully you’ll (if you’re not already) will be a very welcome addition to my Stobart signature collection.

By the way, I’ve seen a few top Stobart drivers buying their lunch at the service station south bound of the M6 and if I’m ever in a line waiting to be served I’d always offer a Stobart driver to go in front of me to be served first and even sometimes I’ll offer to buy the driver his dinner as a gesture of good will.

Keep up the good work mate and let the haters hate

If you’re joking 9 out of 10 for reasonable ■■■■ take. :sunglasses:

If you’re being serious. :open_mouth: youtu.be/ednmReO6epc
