Was she on about 5 mpg? A mate of mine has got a picture of her when Paul owned it, pulling a Ferrymasters tilt and there was soot marks halfway down the top of the trailer off those stacks, they reckon she was kicking out 500 hp on her original engine as Paul took her back to ■■■■■■■ at Oldbury to have her " screwed open" a couple of times! Hi Peter, when we first had it, was 3mpg but pass anything took it to ■■■■■■■ at oldbury they set it up without detuning it too much got it up to7/8mpg and would still give most trucks of the time a good run.

I can’t remember anymore, took photos of most of them when they were tipping in the mill at Wolverhampton, Harry Sankey was the most regular driver, can’t remember which name was on his 113!
The Merc van is bugging me as I can picture it! Had images of totem poles and wig wams down the side!
