Saw him yesterday at Sleaford heading towards Ruskington on the A153, gave him a wave and thumbs up

G’day,
It’s great to see the old '88 still going strong. A little bit off thread but still old Volvo’s doing their bit,Kinsman contracting from Waimate, which is about 200ks south of Christchirch on the South Island are still running six G88’s on silage and hay. I saw one go past me in the opposite direction when I was down south last year, but sadly didn’t get a chance to take any photos. These are taken from a great magazine called Truck jounal, which is avalable here in NZ.

Cheers Jamie

Great pics Jamie, never seen a lorry working with a forage harvester in this country, let alone an 88. Different way, also looks as if you get a lot of acre’s done in a day.
Cheers Dave.

Yeah mate,it’s the prefered way of doing silige down here, there are some pretty big paddocks and with a fleet of trucks with silage bins fitted you can cover a bit of ground fairly quickly. When your done, take the bin of and run the truck as a flat or fit a stock crate for carting stock.
Cheers mate Jamie

Finally found the pics that started me off on this thread and have got round to scanning them - these are from 2003 on the farm.
