Uncle Tony will be 82 in September & although he is against the DCPC,he will be getting it done before September as he has no plans on hanging up the keys yet
As I type this he is on the Santander to Portsmouth boat on the way back to the UK from Morocco
" T C " the Volvo that burnt out in France was a right hand drive F12 " Hot To Trot ",Not the Joker that belonged to another owner driver,Tony then bought a left hand drive F12 with kitchen pack in cab,1 of Buzby’s old ones & left it in their old colours,he then called it " Hot To Trot 11 " ( 2 )
Great pic Will. I’ve just mentioned Tony on the North Africa work thread (on the Old timers forum). It’d be great to see this picture on there. It’s a good thread, if you haven’t read it! Cheers. Robert
Tony should write a book or go on TV.My days on British International seem like a lifetime ago.
Sat in the stinking sewer of Alverca TIR park with mozzies the size of bees.
was on it early 90’s t0 2000 was pretty good in the earlier years but changed as times moved on. They built motorways out there which took the fun out of it but still a good experience. Believe that they just ship the trailers across from Algeciras last one I knew of going out there was Tony. Used to ship out of Cadiz but that’s finished now unless you ship into Casablanca
which is a night mare.
