Verbal assault, not acceptable.

But isn’t that half the problem with the world H?

Everyone remembers a good bollocking, a warning letter simply goes in the bin and makes the manager seem out of reach

att:
Just listen to you weekend Wendy`s… :unamused:

Oooohhh, thats bullying, thats this and that…What a bunch of poofters, that`s whats wrong with this bloody country, too many offended at the drop of a bit of fairy dust, the rest offended upon their behalf :unamused: …I despair, I really do, we are a nation of soft gits…

^This. Tell 'em to go 'ck themselves with a cucumber.

Depends. A loud-mouthed bully has to take his victim as he finds him. Personally, if someone shouted at me, I would feel under threat and would hit them full in the face.

Who is to say where the line should be drawn? Surely civility is better from the word “Go”?

“Manners don’t cost anything”, as my old Mum is wont to say.

Now your being sexist. Carry on, I’m gonna sue you all for millions

aye the old time bosses are the best…had one that had been a senior nco…you did wrong …a right bollocking ,full hairdryer treatment…5min later it was all forgotten by both o us,thats the way it should be.
jimmy…
i recon you know who im talking about Eddie lol…

I’d rather have a face to face bollocking than some suit going round making snide remarks.

If I’ve done wrong, I would prefer to have someone quietly telling me where I have done wrong, rather than bawling me out in front of people who have nothing to do with it.

It’s a shame that so many truck drivers would seem to be prepared to put up with it. If we don’t even require respect from our employers, why should Tesco treat us with any?

Managers who are polite and treat workers with respect often are the ones who fix problems more as opposed to managers who are aggressive, bad tempered loud mouths who use their position to speak to you like crap tend to create more problems than they solve IMO.

Cheers

I remember my old dad squaring up to his boss once when the boss addressed him by his surname, “you can call me MR or you can call me by my christian name but I stopped answering to my surname when I was demobbed”
It was always christian name after that.

well sack the fitter, and employ a mechanic.
put the TM in the pit, and finish the prick off.
get a new TM.

…and a mechanic whose workplace is tidy hasn’t got enough work to do

If the Workplace isnt Tidy you will have to expect that some Dirt comes into Parts and you stay more often in the Workshop.
Think,Fuel Injectors are on a 1/100 Millimeter dolerance.thats that little you fit it together in Liquid as in the Air too much Dust for it.
Other Parts are on the 10nd of a Millimeter, and the simplest Parts on the millimeter tight.
now have lots of Dust in it which would work like Sand-Paper.

quite right, you should always try to keep your workplace clean,be it a bench, your cab, office, its called having some pride in your job.
but the point here is when i ask my girl to sort her bedroom out i ask here in a nice polite way,i dont shout, rave and rant at here,i dont need to,wheras this loud mouth bully thinks its the only way to get your point over to the workforce,in time hell find its counterproductive,if hes still employed after the visit, hope not
