And I thought the hard shoulder was for EMERGENCIES only

back to school children :unamused:
this website used to be such an interesting place to be.

freindly arguments letting off steam after the end of a hard day (or week).
now you hardly dare utter a word out of place, for fear of the censor/moderator cutting you short. those of you that have noticed, will see i very rarely post any longer, indeed i gave up the news team job because i dislike the way trucknet is going.

its posts like the one above that make this website the dross (in my opinion) that it has become. (now if i get banned for stating what i think on a personal note) then so be it.

i do still look in on a daily basis, and how the place has changed is unreal.

this thread will proberly dissapear now that ive added my two penneth worth, they usually do, but hey, i say what i,m thinking, some thing a lot more folk should do, instead of hiding behind whatever it is .

gone are the days you got respect for speaking your mind, its all about me me me me me.

if i had been travelling with defective lights i,m sure i would be gratefull to any one for pointing this out to me, while i do see where robs coming from, it does seem a tad over the top, i can also see scanny, s point aswell. thats me sitting on the fence, nah is it zb.

such a shame that just about every other thread turns inton some kind of falling out/argument, gone are the days when i usedc to like a good row. you just cannot have a friendly row on here any more…

OK back on topic.Correct me if i’m wrong here but do Tesco driver’s drive MAN TGA 410 OR 360 ( I THINK) Well I Drive A MAN 410 tga, and as soon as a light bulb goes out or indicator a warning message pop’s up on your dash telling the driver he/she has a problem. Now if this said Tesco’s driver was paying attention then surely he/she would have noticed this pop up on the dash.It also make’s a little noise to alert the driver.

Scanny,if your still here answering. When you pulled along side the driver why did you not wind your window down and gesture to him/her to do the same, this way you could have told him verbally  Then you could have followed him/her into the hard shoulder and sat behind him/her since the trailer had no light’s at all. That way ppl would see your light’s.

PS,We all can get annoyed or ■■■■■■ off with certain thing’s at time’s but don’t let us all fall out over this,it’s only a website for christ sake. It’s not life or death, let’s each have our say but leave any form of attack’s out.We all have our personnel view’s on certain topic’s your’s might be right or it might be wrong, but it don’t mean your not entitled to that view,it just mean’s we all have different opinion’s on thing’s.Please accept that not everyone will agree with it.Now can we all kiss and make up please.

MAN’S up here m8

Simon they,ve got Scanias, Man,s and some Mercs too i dont think they believe in quality motors as i dont think ive seen any Volvos.

Some of our Volvos report bulbs out but when you actually go and check there isnt a problem i am no auto electrician but it has been a problem only on 1 or 2 units its not the tralers doing it.

Always used to be Scania P-cabs out of Southampton, but that may have changed…

But what would you have done if someone tried to pull you over like that? Afterall it can be highly valuble your cargo and you dont absolutely know the intentions of the driver pulling you over.

It really wasnt worth it just for one indicator light

When it comes down to the bone, that - ralliesport - is basically the point I’m trying to make.

I will publicly apologise to Richie for ripping his post apart as looking back it was rather unfair of me and I do believe he had good intentions, although I have my doubts on some of his earlier threads but that is my opinion. I’m sure we’ve all been in situations where we’ve looked back in hindsight and realised that we could have handled things differently; I know I have. Perhaps Richie make take the comments on this thread on board and remember them if such a situation arises in the future. :bulb:

Kitkat, he would never had heard me mate. i was driving one of our rigids and they are pretty noisy. on top of that, doing 56MPH and trying to shout through my cab would probably not be the safest thing to do. incidentally, if he still hadnt pulled in behind me, i would have given up and let him get on with it :unamused:

Ralliesport, if it had just been an indicator, i wouldnt have bothered but he had NO tail lights at all including brake lights. to me, that is dangerous. imagine you are behind an artic who has suddenly hit the brakes and you dont realise until its too late :open_mouth:

Lucy, they have all sorts now from what i have seen. they even have subbies pulling their trailers and to be honest, i didnt pay any attention to his unit other than it was one of their own.

Rob, accepted! you and me are quite similiar in the way we are very opinionated but we do NOT always agree (there may be one member hiding who didnt know that)
what say we bury the hatchet and get on with it? i really dont think either of us need the extra hassle
