Analogue to digital

or…if your mostly on digis, and your company are flexible to your working day if you’ve not got a clue, then…bin the analogues and say your part time for a while…penalty for non producing charts is 1 offence…penalty for showing 10 dodgy charts,is 10 offences which is 1 of the reasons that there are so many fires in traffic offices when the ministry are coming to look at the companies charts for the last year or so.

Ok Mr Pedantic, but the question was “is it a Siemens or a Stoneridge?”

Which he’ll have difficulty answering if it’s got a VDO logo on the front and says “Continental Automotive” in the printout.

Cheers for all the info guys I’ve just got home and will sink it all in ready for when I go back 2moz on either paper or digital …
Not sure about how old they are i know the trucks reg is kx11 if that any good

Somebody from work has kindly dropped off the manual for the tacho…it still doesn’t say much on changing from paper to digital tho haha…

The plot thickens…I didn’t realise at the end of each shift I had to put the tacho on break b4 ejecting the card…■■■■ :astonished:

That’s 2011/2012 so it’s most likely a type 1 tachograph, see my previous post.

It’s doesn’t say that. It just says set it to rest mode when taking a break or starting a daily rest, there’s no mention of needing to do it when ejecting the card and there’s no need to.

What is recorded for the time the card is out of a head unit depends on what you do when you insert it after that period, not what mode it was on before ejecting.

Here is picture m8 can’t find handbook to see model ill ask supervisor when back if don’t know…cheers

The little round white symbol to the right of the VDO logo suggests it is a version 1.4

The 1.4 is the same as a V1 apart from how it records driving time. Should be the same as a Version 1 to use.

Somewhere in the handbook it does suggest you should put it on the bed symbol before ejecting the card. I have no idea why, but I distinctly remember reading it.

Thanks for all the info and advice people it really helped nice1
