Alloys, pros and cons?

Bud143:
They do make a difference when payload matters for people like us on bulk or powder. If its not a show truck and its for weight dont buy the shiny ones or you will soon get fed up with polishing them.Although if you dont mind sitting next to a hot wheel on a hot day rubbing in polish when you could be at home or want som bling then get them.Never known anyone have problems with alloys cracking and the previous bulk job i was at we were in quarrys and coal mines alot.I think about a saving of 300 to 400 kgs over a full artic which is alot of extra income over a year.

You don’t have to polish them, I don’t, I just spray wheel cleaner/ brightener on and wash it off, they stay bright and clean.
We operate1,000 trucks and about 3,000 trailers nationwide and not once has there been any reports of any wheel cracking etc.

Well i dont have alloys on mine so im not upto date on what polish you can buy

where i work we all have alloys (truck and trailer), we do logging so dont worry about the rough
jobs as 30% of our work is off roading.as for polishing the more you do the easy it gets,we
use diamond white polish with a pad on a cordless.takes 10 mins per wheel. if there crap
to begin with we i have used a brilo pad with the polish cleans them treat, hope this helps…
