Thanks mate. I just don’t understand why that’s happened. I was wondering if the 2026 date somehow referred to my photo expiring.
What age were you at your last D4 medical?
Photo date will be 4b on the front

I was 25.
4b is what I’m looking at, but it’s also the same date on the back next to C and C+E.
ezydriver, you don’t necessarily need a medical at 45, just when your 5 year licence next runs out after 45. It is a luck of the draw type thing I suppose.
The risk profile of someone over the age of 45 apparently requires the intervention of a doctor when you renew as opposed to just self-declaring every five years before reaching 45.

I reckon it has something to do with when you changed the photo which also affected the LGV expiry date

You’re possibly right. I’m sure my expiry date used to be my 45th birthday. Perhaps it changed when I renewed the photo.

That makes sense.
I think what’s confused me is that I always thought the medical/age thing was an exact science.
