Advice on failed C+E test (roundabouts)

Thanks everybody
I thought this thread would have been finished, so forgot to check it, sorry.

Well, I did some extra hours, drove well, no issues this time, even with roundabouts/tight turns.
Both myself and the instructor were happy with everything. Took the retest and failed again unfortunately. I clipped a kerb on a tight right hand turn!.
I have done that turn plenty of times before, so I have no idea why I made that mistake…a momentary lapse of concentration.
The examiner was chatting to me all the way round the test, which I thought might be a good sign, but now on reflection, it was distracting. I should have told him to shut up and let me concentrate.
I don’t think there is any point analysing what happened, I made a stupid mistake, and the instructor was one that wasn’t going to let me get away with it.
Fair enough.

As soon as a test date comes up, I’ll have a few hours practice and take it again.
I like the idea of following some artics around, that sounds like an idea, and could be a help.
I will try that, hopefully I wont get arrested for stalking!
Thanks everyone for the advice.

If you had the time and the money, I would go and drive a 7.5t with an instructor then go for a Class C just to experience an ever larger vehicle or even a bus.
.

I got my car license pre 1997, so it seems I can drive a 7.5T on my own. Found somewhere local that hires them for about £50 a day.
I think that might be good practice taking one of them around the test routes. It can’t hurt to give it a go.

Thanks

Have a look on YouTube, look up truck driver Hayley. Brilliant channel for beginners. She has couple videos on cornering and roundabouts. Class 2 and class 1

Yeah, I’ve watched some of her videos, she really is very good…and honest!
