AdBlue Removal Module

Massively unprofessional of T&D to allow such advertising in my opinion.

Its entirely legal, so why is it unprofessional to carry the ad?

May car magazines carry ads for kits to de EGR cars- I have done so to my Discovery removed the CAT for a stainless steel straight through pipe, blanked off the EGR valve and bypassed the EGR water cooling system… again totally legal and she has passed 4 MOT’s since including emissions test.

I don’t see how advertising something legal is unprofessional of the magazine. the issue of warrenty etc is something for the truck owner to clarify with whoever holds their warrenties- just like any other modification they may want to make

EGR Valves on cars are a complete pain and waste of time , EGR By pass usually involves a blanking plate over the valve or a cut out coke can if you wish  EGRs continually clog as most cars do not really run far enough or get the exhaust system hot enough for them work properly, same with DPF on cars needs to be running down a motorway for 1/2 an hour when they go into re gen mode fine in a truck but a car??

The last firm I drove for I had an actros. The fitter turned the add blue feed right down, do that one tank of add blue lasted me over 6 weeks. Wagon ran fine everything was great!

Has anyone had this module fitted?

If so, had the truck run ok? Has it passed mot ?

A friend has these fitted on v8 scanias no problems in over two years easily switched off using ignition key, it needs to use adblue system regularly to prevent crystalising in the nozzle. Vehicles were new when fitted and on r+m.

Could the be anyway Vosa can detect them on test?

Why? And why shouldn’t the owner disable a system on a truck which is not a safety item, just like you can with a diesel car which use cats and particulate filters to clean the exhaust fumes.
It’s not illegal to disable a cars exhaust filter system! (Although it won’t pass the test with these items missing, it will pass with the guts ripped out of them, and the eloys fluid system disabled via the ECU)

That’s all changed very recently, any car with the DPF missing where it was fitted by the manufacturer WILL now fail an MOT.
