Accident queens drive liverpool

here we go slagging tipper drivers off again.

Everytime I’ve been dangerously overtaken by another wagon it’s been a tipper wagon going like the clappers.

Tipper drivers are on percentages so they drive like ■■■■. The last time I did tipper work on the agency, I went what I thought was fast, got 8 loads in and thought I’d done well. The company drivers got 10+ in. God knows how they managed that.

who was it for conner…? i might have worked for them.i dont know any tipper firms round here that get paid load bonus any more.

Everytime eh? Bloody hell the drivers of every other type of truck round your way must be pretty special. I feel sorry for you with those nasty tipper drivers on their percentages ruining your Trucking Utopia!

Around here, I only know one driver who is on percentages but its probably different around your way I suppose? :unamused:

who the naughty boy driving on the wrong side of the road

Are you for real?

wirralpete:
they dont hang around them scrap metal wagons. think mike-c may be right, wont be long before theres a weight limit imposed.

You can’t really put a weight limit on a ring road though, it would just mean more of us going through the city centre, which is surely a lot less desirable. If you want to slow people down, use average speed cameras, that would do it.

I do a lot of tipper driving, and the places I do it pay me by the hour and I take it nice and steady. Just ask 164480, he’s been stuck behind me enough times

I imagine just about everything is different from around your way.

Paul,

How do you work that out??

I mean there are currently avg speed cameras up on the entry to the M6 at Preston (Broughton interchange) around Jctn 32? Everytime I have been down there lately I have stuck to the 50mph whether in a heavy or a car…Allsorts of vehicles come charging past, so the best thing to do is Obey the speed limit and be vigilant, has no one worked this out yet??

Screw the planners and the office bods I mean do the job but do it with safety in mind, not just for you but also for members of the public aswell, this is just another story which HAS tarred us all with the same brush…at least that will be true if you ask any of the residents of the houses affected. :exclamation:

edited to fix the quote - repton

Might of had a heart attack. Average speed cameras are good at slowing things down and the people that come bombing past you will be getting tickets in the post, they just don’t know it yet!

makes me laugh when you see drivers infront of do an slam on the brakes as they approach the SPEC camera’s then speed up again then slow down then speed up :exclamation: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

I’m glad you’ve said that Dan. I live in Blackpool myself and always stick to the limit in this section, like you, just to find everyone flying past me. :open_mouth: I thought there was something wrong with my speedo. Surprised there’s not been more accidents. :unamused:

Yeah, if they’re gonna break the law then they might as well drive right up the a**e of the truck in front then your number plate cannot be seen!! :smiling_imp:

Not that I’m condoning such behaviour you understand…on the A616 near Stocksbridge :grimacing:

You’re right, he might of!! :grimacing:

It would have been Thursday of the week before I think, that’s the only day I’ve done for them in a while now although I’m there all next week and a few weeks at the back end of June / early July. I get the impression that bulk work as a whole is pretty slow round here at the moment, I’ve seen quite a lot of folk who are usually on the tippers pulling other people’s trailers recently. It probably won’t be long now before it all kicks off for the summer though, there’s still a hell of a lot of wheat kicking around in stores all over the place that is going to need shifting sometime soon.

Where’s limeyphil, missing out on all the tipper slaggin off action

I drove mixers and admit to driving like a ■■■■■ as an O/D  .

Not easy tipper driver lifestyle :smiling_imp: (Ow come so many upend them on their side in the stock yard :open_mouth: , next you’ll be saying it’s uneven tipping ground not flying off the stockpile, rams fully extended to save 30 secs  )

I put a tipper driver onto a roundabout on the A449. I had to use two lanes as i had a long load. the tipper driver tried somehow to overtake me on the roundabout, so i just kept going, he got stuck. his mates came past me hooting there horns and laughing. bloody good day. (orange cabs, i think).
i’ve driven tippers in the past, and it’s true, you do become a ■■■■■
