Ok I’ll try & answer your questions,
Neal, don’t panic, Jeff is in Germany or England so you won’t get a reply, I went out for a few beers with a couple of mates from BFS & they’re doing ok, so it’s 50/50 whether your face fits or not, fingers crossed & if not then hang it out for a few months & I’ll put a word in at my place for you.
You can work 365 days straight through in the USA if you do no more than 8hrs 45mins a day, therefore not exceeding 70hrs in any 8 day period, I run the maximum 11hrs where possible so I run out of time on day 6, a 34hr break resets the log book & you can start again, in Canada you must have 24hrs off after 14 days, the 70hr rule is the same but over 7 days.
Yes I do go sightseeing, I went to New York City a couple of weeks ago, it was a $6 bus ride & a few weeks before I had a day at the beach in Galveston, Texas, mostly I’m out & back before I run out of time so I have my time off at home.
Depending on where you fuel the benefits are different, I usually use Flying j as they’re everywhere, the showers are good & they also give vouchers, which they send to my house, usually about $15 a month, I use this as a way of paying for my internet, $45 gets me 3 months worth & I’m using it now, I’m in a Flying J in Pennsylvannia writing this, I just pull in log on, do my bit & away I go.
I don’t think it makes it any easier to get over if you’re single, on the PNP (Provincial Nominee Programme) as long as your family has no criminal past or nasty dieseases like TB, I’m sorry, but mental problems don’t appear to be a problem, judging by the moaning my mates from the UK do about their wives, the Canadian birds are psychos too so on that score you’re doomed like the rest of us
