45 minutes break in multi-manning?

I heard a rumor that the French authorities gave an official letter that they quit at these fines and that they will return the money from these fines. Does anyone know where you may download this letter?

Maybe is another article. That article (34, al. 5) is about the use of mecanisms of tachograph.

I think its the right one, I think basically that as the co-driver is recorded as POA not break while at rest in a moving vehicle, the French are interpreting it as the co-driver isn’t showing a period of break so hasn’t had a break. Despite the guidance and precedence set for many years that states the first 45 minutes of the POA is considered as break for the co-driver is he is in the moving vehicle and is not involved in assisting the driver.

Correct, that was the problem.
In the mean time, after a bit of pressure from europe, the french have seen their error :unamused: , and line up to the european interpretation (for once :sunglasses: ).
So it should be ok now. Untill they find something else to fine us… :imp:

Thanks.

I never considered POA as rest. How can you possibly rest when your colleague drives on national Road with hills and bents? And let’s not talk about eating a soup

I certainly wouldn’t attempt eating soup whilst sat in the passenger seat of a moving vehicle it could end up rather messy .
