New Scout badge “shipping container building” badge
Sorry couldn’t help it lol
hiya,
A good chance for a bit of advertising the donors name emblazoned
on the side of the box, can’t be bad, still plugging for a freebee,
thanks harry, long retired.
hiya,
Gone a bit quiet, just wondering did the lads get their container
just being nosey but having enjoyed scouting as a youngster still
showing an interest and would like to think they had succeeded.
thanks harry, long retired.
Try interbulk in hull they often sell old ones but are 30ft.They are the old ibc/ubc/iff containers. They have a depot at carrington, manchester aswell
Just as an alternative, what about an old box body off a 7.5t or 18t vehicle, about the same size as a container but due to GRP build probably a lot cheaper. maybe not as secure as a container but definately more secure than a shed.

hiya,
With respect Harry but a wooden shed in an out of the way location
a la most “scout huts” would be a target for mischevious fingers and
that’s being as polite as possible, whereas a 20 foot box would have
an added element of security and with a bit of clever welding can be
made almost impenetratable, just my chain of thought.
thanks harry, long retired.
I payed 1200 for an ex office container fully lined, with electrics, strip light and a shot blast/respray. I lifted it into my garden and wood clad it with feather board and the put a roof on. I’m sure you can pick one up for less that 1000, I lifted one in for a guy the other day and he payed 700 with a respray!
There’s a company buy me called Newport container Vallet and they do some great ones, but is obviously to far from you.

Yes I have a couple of chickens, Beryl and Barbra. I converted my garage last year and although to small to even fit a car it did provide secure storage for our bikes, my tools, fishing gear and was a small work shop space for tinkering. My area isn’t the lowest crime area in the world in fact it’s actualy quite high in the centre of Newport where I live so this keeps the baddies out
Now back on looking for a 20ft box for my mates scout group - site is now ready near Keighley so if anyone has one for sale cheap for a local scout group let me know.
Any assitance with transport / locating would be most gratefully accepted.
Pentalvers at Southampton will arrange it all, i got one of them, one phone call, and bank card payment over the phone, and Williams transport delivered in to a tight spot on my farm, up a lane too.
If you ask for a slightly damaged one, or one that is not that pretty with paint scuffs and tyre marks on it, you may get some money off.
Container lift in the same place can also deliver one anywhere too.
You could spruce up if it is a bit tatty, a touch of paint on it.
Just to be contrary, you’re better off sourcing one locally and contact local Hiab firms for prices.
Ebays fairly busy with em at the mInute, shop around.
How about this one?
