Finally managed to source funding. 
DVLA got my licence n medical form on 30/10, still not heard back from them or been able to book theory online. Phoned them and they say they’re waiting on report from my gp.
Just left wondering why I paid for medical when they go to my gp anyway. Getting fed up with the waiting and delays.

If DVLA medical have a concern their remit is to contact your GP on that issue and/or to send you free of charge to one of their approved medical facilities

Would have been nice for them to contact me about the delay, a simple email or even an automated phone message would have been enough - basic customer service 
Now been waiting 4 weeks for DVLA to give me my provisional. 
Docs saying they haven’t heard from DVLA, DVLA said they sent off for report a week ago. ■■■■ sure it doesn’t take a week for a letter to arrive. 
Had the same issue with my PCV provisional. Didn’t receive it in 3 weeks. Same story, we already send it weeks ago. They send it again and I got it in two days!

went with those www.driversmedicals.com people. Nothing mentioned about any problems then, was told it was fine.

so why would DVLA contact your doctor if there was no problems its a bit strange
No idea. Stuck in limbo atm. Really annoyed. 
Just phoned docs on the off chance to find out report was completed and sent back to dvla yesterday. Hopefully not much longer till I find out one way or another if I can get this bloody licence.
