Hermes name change

Hermes has now become evri.
From what I have read online they haven’t been bought or taken over.
Just a name change in hope to.imrpove there reputation.
Apparently as Hermes they offered poor customer service had problems with missing parcels and poorly paid staff.
Name change is a move to change there image…
Can’t see things changing behind the scenes.
And god knows how many millions will cost to get the old. Logos removed from trucks staff uniforms buildings etc.

Who comes up with stupid ideas.
I know we’re just change company name and spend millions doing it.

Absolutely shocking delivery company. Feel sorry for the workers who are obviously subjected to inept management at every level.

The courier companies are all as bad as each other, Hermes, DHL, Yodel etc. If I’m looking to buy something on ebay I’ll only buy from sellers who use Royal Mail.

I’ve sold loads of stuff on ebay over the last few years and probably sent a couple of thousand parcels / packets with Hermes. I can’t really fault them, very occasionally I get a problem but no more than you’d expect as a percentage.

Getting them to cough up for a lost parcel takes a while even when they admit they have cocked up.

I’ve had worse couriers to deal with.

Usually Royal Mail or Parcelforce are very good, but RM went to pot here in the CM postcode recently with stuff delayed for weeks

To be honest when I have parcels delivered I’m generally pleased if they’re delivered by Hermes/Evri, the courier I try to avoid is Yodel, Yodel can change their name as often as they like but their service remains appalling.

I guess me & mrs are the older generation but if we can buy it down town we will , still see mates , friends about , mostly 50/60,s people , it’s how it always has been , part of social life talking to people
Next door are the new generation , foods delivered by Tesco , always a parcel van blocking my ■■■■■■■ drive , there new car got delivered on a car transporter , too ■■■■■■■ idle to go to the garage & collect it himself , pitiful

Could it purely be a name change for tax purposes.

There’s no tax consequences of changing your name.

Corporate re-branding…

Just a time wasting excercise for the PR department to justify their pointless careers and utterly useless contribution to the company itself. Witnessed the last debacle of Royal Mail morphing into Insignia with great mirth and giggles. A multi-million pound waste of money.
As for parcel delivery? Without fail, every single item that I’ve asked to be delivered has been delivered on time and un-damaged. Herpes have a collection point in the village which I always opt for when getting delivery. I can go down in my own time, pick up my parcel and 8 Ace simultaneously.

Dozy, you don’t have any mates.
