I always do Start/End of day entries. Although it’s not worried about here, I bet it is in France or Belgium . Takes a second, no hassle really. I also leave the card in all week and come Monday morning, add an hour other work to end of shift Friday and to the start of the shift Monday morning for Kitting/De-Kitting.VOSA love to see complete records and leaving your card in all the time is an excellent way of getting a complete record, as they can see what you’re not up to when the tacho is “out”, so to speak (I.E. not swapping trailers/driving to the chinky etc etc )
The problem with leaving it in is what do you do if you need to run get to maccy d
If you run to get a maccy d whilst you card is out, it will still be recorded on the head unit.
I don’t know if you’d get away with it for a maccy d run Personally that fact you going to a Maccy D should mean they throw the book at you But if you did have to move a truck during you rest period, it would be far better to have the card in and then do a print out and write an explanation, than to run without a card.
As shaggy once said it wasent me
