i bought a copy of this and loaded it up on my tom tom but it doesnt really work, it still takes you down country roads that have limits over 7.5t. anyone else had this and got it to work well?
Its working fine, all it does is show you were bridge heights, widths and weight limits are as POI’s on your TT. Its up to you to avoid the restrictions, it won’t re-route you at all.
Their suggestion is to let the TT calculate a route, then you view the route and see if any of their POI on on the route, then you work out how to avoid them. Most people will tell you its easy enough to find these POI free anyway. At best its a company grouping POI for weight, height, width and a few HGV type POI in a package and charging for it, I guess they will update it all when something new comes along, but all they do is save you finding this stuff out for free from different sources.
Which model TomTom do you have? If you have one of the following GO 520, GO 720, GO 920, GO 530, GO 730, GO 930 you can get the TT Truck maps to work on them. I have a Go730 and it works great.
It will work on some other models but not all the truck functions will work.
