Noob saying HI!

My name is Bungle, Im in Oldham and I have been a bus driver for 11 years!

Recent circumstances have meant a move away from passenger transport so i decided to do my class 2! I passed that on Monday first time and am now struggling to find work :frowning:

it seems that no-one wants to know, even with 21 hours of CPC and 11 years driving under my belt :frowning:

VERY VERY Frustrating!

So, if anyone knows of a noob friendly company in the south lancs/west yorks/manchester areas let me know!

Cheers

B…

You do not have 11 years of holding the LGV licence and that is what many go by

Did you not know this before paying for the training?

Oh yea, but i expected it counting for SOMETHING! there still big rigid vehicles after all!

Ill find something, i must have sent 30 CVs off over the last 2 days, 3 or 4 agencies have my details (1 actually rang me with a 7 1/2 ton load to banbury last night but cancelled it on me 10 mins later :frowning: VERY frustrating!) im sure something will turn up, its early days yet!

Cheers

You do have a few advantages over others in the boat

CV’s are a waste of time these days, get out and see people face to face. Your bus driving experience will count with some employers. Just remember if you get a start, you don’t have to keep stopping at the bus stops anymore!
