Think someone on here does that, was it jb  ,think he said recently he had a change to his contract where he could be away 3 weeks at a time instead of 2 weeks, but with my memory I could be wrong

Surely the honour and prestige of working for such a high profile company is worth something, lol!!

How come stobart drivers are on 7.50ph in the uk then?

I do work for them on international yes. It’s more than £6.75 per hour. But let’s be honest. If I said it was £15 there would still be the “i won’t get out of bed for that” brigade. All I’m concerned about is my take home pay. Which for the last two weeks was £646 and £541.
You don’t earn that for nothing of course. I’ve had to put the hours in and had a weekend away. A normal week for me involves running uk then out to Germany delivering around the army camps. Cages via tail lifts into naafi. Reload frozen usually back to lokeren. Then have your time off and ready to run back to Germany. Weekends away can be either up in an Autohof somewhere in northern Germany, Asten truckstop in Holland, our yard in lokeren. (sky TV, cooker, fridge, washer tumble dryer etc), or in the uk dependant on what type of work your doing. The walking floor lads usually load around the south with wood chip for Spano in oostrozebeke. Reload mechelen back to the uk.
It’s not for everyone. The trucks are clean but basic 440 highline scania. All international motors are fitted with 2100 watt invertors.
Despite popular belief, we aren’t all nobheads who think we’re above everyone else. And when you hear it time after time it does get boring. I’m a normal driver who’s worked elsewhere and just do it because it’s a job.
That’s your lot. I’m not getting drawn into any arguments or ■■■■■■■■.

I haven’t worked for the uk side. There’s various different shifts. Day tramping night tramping mon-fri. Thurs-mon etc etc. One of the uk trampers on here would have to answer that sorry.
