No one?
Okay, he’s some more info to jog memories. From info relayed to me, a white Volvo artic moved from lane one to lane two and side-swiped a white Volvo car in lane 2. Volvo car in lane 2 span anti-clockwise and came to rest in the opposite direction against the crash barrier on the hard shoulder.

So far, I know the car ended up HERE (Google Maps Link) after the second bridge over the M25/J24. What I’m trying to determine is the point of contact as the I don’t have pictures of the skid marks.
The car is owned by me (and was driven with my permission by temporary additional named driver). The truck was a 2012 Volvo (unknown model) on Turkish plates. I have the insurance details of the other party from the womble incident form.
Any help gratefully received. (like for instance even if you tell me where the skid marks start)
If you have the third party details from the wombles, I am unsure what info you are looking for?? It looks like a regular left hand drive side swipe, something which happens daily in our region. Let your insurance deal with it, that what you pay them for.
Was a tidy 340 that, rare as rocking horse dung these days eh.
@extrucker
I agree that’s what I pay insurers for, but I do have an accident report form to fill in. I wasn’t there, so I’m trying to fill in the gaps. I know it’s happens daily on certain bits of the motorway/trunk road network which left-hookers travel. I can see me having a lot of fun (and waiting) dealing with a Turkish insurer.
@Phantom Mark
Very tidy 30 year-old 343 with 21k miles on the clock. I’m a bit gutted as the crash barrier seems to have done far more damage that the initial swipe.
It’ll be fixed sometime, I’ll find the parts to do it somewhere.
Def a fixer, good luck mate, too good to let go to the crusher for sure.

It’s up to the driver’s to swap the details not the ‘wombles’ (they can try and assist) as it’ll just bite them on the ar$e if an insurance claim comes back asking for insurance details and they don’t/shouldn’t keep them.
Info i got from MIB is that the motorist is best taking a photo of green form if possible using a camera fone so they can double check details,.
I have in the past asked many times for guidance on green forms etc from ‘above’ and the answer is nowt to do with us, don’t get involved, except from a copper who just said if they don’t give it first time call us and i’ll arrest the [zb].
If it’s a non injury accident & a foreign truck/non english speaking driver you can usually guarantee if BIB are first on scene will ask for HATO to attend and make a swift exit.
You can copy details, especially insurance policy number, from the green form onto the HA details exchange form so at least it makes it easier for MIB to deal with.
used to do womble recoveries at the last place i worked. we had womble issued paperwork to fill in job details. 3 copies, one for us, one for punter, one for hato. used to amaze me that most of the wombles refused to sign this “for legal reasons”
also find it worrying the number of people who think they are police officers (i don’t mean stamping on the anchors when they come up on one) but thinking that they have power of arrest etc
I’m kind of wondering just now if it’s worth an insurance job. Without parts, I’ve been told I’m looking at around 30 hours / 600 quid.
One of the places I worked at, said their excess was 2k yoyo, so smaller stuff they just settled direct. Does anyone think this angle might have legs? Ulusoy Logistics?
Insurance will write that off as sure as night follows day. It will then become a nice little earner for someone. Speak to the engineer/assessor who comes out about cat 1/2/3 write offs and about the procedure for making your own arrangements for repairs, following a total loss payout, and for putting it back on the road afterwards. If it was a UK reg lorry, life would have been easier claiming direct from the third party insurers, but being it’s a Turk this is likely to be very difficult.
It all depends on how much you want to keep this particular car. Loads of hassle involved.
Nate, I have arranged a lot of recoveries through Highways (FMG) but I have never been asked to sign anything and never been given any paperwork by the recovery driver. I am intrigued if this is just done in your area as it is certainly not done in ours.
Good luck with your claim. I had one of our eastern friends forget to put his hand break on and batter the back of my truck to the tune of £18,000. That was on the 26th march. Finally found out who there uk handling agent is on the 31st of august!!!

And the MOP can do that so if a digit is misread etc it doesnt come back & bite YOU on the arse, trying to be helpful gets you nowhere ‘if’ it goes t!ts up.

If it is stat removed you are supposed to ‘sign’ the vehicle/condition over to the FMG contractor.
Facilitated recovery @ present is between FMG & MOP, nowt to do with highways.

Speedy, that’s why I said ‘you’ can copy the details, meaning the driver. After eight years in service, covering my a**e is my priority!!

Sorry misunderstood seen too many trying to use common sense & be helpful & it usually comes back to bite them on the ■■■,
The last 6 words make the most sense in the ‘working enviroment’
Speedy, I have never signed even for a stat removal. As far as I know, none of my crews have either.
