I’ve got a delivery tomorrow which the address for is:
Project Circinus
High Explosives Fabrication Facility
Atomic Weapons Establishment
Aldermaston
Has anyone been here before? I’ve been told to bring my Driving License, Passport and another form of ID, only delivered to a few MOD sites before but I’ve told this one is a paperwork marathon to rival them all.
driven past the place several times and it looks a fortress to get in, iv’e been to a few mod sites but non ever had the security this one does. theres about 5 to 10 guards on each gate when it work finish time check everything from what i saw
bald bloke:
Makes a change from the usual rdc’s. Take plenty of photos of interesting things and post them on hear.
Phones/Cameras banned on site, arrest and prosecution if not adhered to, even staff cant have mobiles. Youre given a key to a locker where you put your
phones / sat nav / camera / matches / lighters / ciggys / knives / forks / laptops, infact anything not needed whilst on site, any arguments and youre asking for trouble.
Not much to see above ground I’m afraid, mostly underground bunkers where the fun stuff is
Source: Had the tour as mother works there.
tip… MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN ON SITE CONTACT NAME & NUMBER PRIOR TO ARRIVING, same set up as Sellafield and such like

Not a good idea - we run the contractors buses in both sites and the drivers on that arent allowed to have camera phones on them…
Thats why the buses dont have CCTV or trackers on them…
It didn’t even used to be on the map, same as nearby Burghfield( I think that’s where they actually put missiles together ) just had a look there on the map now , don’t suppose there much point now with goggle earth.
My uncle works there, He hardly says anything about it, I’m always on at him about what goes on etc. I was under the impression the nukes are put together in Scotland where our subs are but who knows.

Saw them a few weeks ago at Knutsford on M6. by the look of it one of the trucks had a blowout or breakdown. 2 lanes coned off police riot vans all around ,army LandRovers everywhere, khaki green Renault Magnum rigid with what looked like blacked out windows in the rear box and some serious satelite pods on the roof.
Caused about 10miles of queues.
Well I’m on my way there now, booked in for 10:00-11:00, supposed to be in Enfield at the QE Stadium for 13:30 after that but we will see how long it takes at Aldermaston.
I’ll let you all know how it goes, if you don’t hear from me by tonight then assume I scratched my backside in the wrong way and was shot in the name of national security!

I used to go there quite regular some years ago on an MOD contract delivering in the supplies and clothing.
Wasn’t such a faff to get in back then tbh, Sign in empty cab of phone etc and escorted to the stores and back.
