If Stobarts disappeared I doubt much would change in the UK commercial haulage sector, their work would just get done by another large logistics operation, the business model of getting contracts by cutting rates would still happen, drivers would still not see a massive improvement in pay and conditions, there still wouldn’t be enough overnight parking, the industry trade bodies will still complain that there is a driver shortage and tax payers money should be used to train people or they should be allowed to access cheap labour from abroad.
To many companies in Uk to many years in trouble.Example-Nft ready some 3 years in trouble.This situation not just in driving.If you want better future than need increace price in store,reduced number of companies.As,well refuced discount in store.

you never can tell what the truth is in the news. wouldnt suprise me if its nothing to do with big money loss/ missing money. but that Sounds plausible so lets go with that put that in print and down they go.

I also don’t think the logistics business doesn’t own the Eddie Stobart name, just have an agreement to use it, which comes up for renewal in a year or so.
WS Transportation re-branded as Eddie Stobart in 2021?
How can you make an error that equates to £2m? Also, the shares have halved in a year, that is a massive sign of a failing business.
