Just off the bus from Poland/Lithuania/Bulgaria/Spain/Portugal etc…delete as required!

I hope you took the reg and sent the video to plod, he/she is going to kill someone. The sooner this loony is off the road the better regardless of where he has come from.

Again we see someone posting a video that shows potentially dangerous driving and also highlighting their own appalling driving.

That was terrible and potentially dangerous driving by the Interlink driver but why didn’t the driver with the dash-cam slow down and let him in when he realised that he’d made a mistake.

I’m not sure which driver displayed the worst driving attitude, but if I was an employer I wouldn’t employ either of them.

I suppose now people will say it wasn’t his mistake so why should he slow down :unamused:

spot on there, why drivers cant work together instead of against each other I don’t know.

I think the interlink driver made more than a mistake. :open_mouth:
he showed a blatant disregard for any one elses life…and in my view should have his own life taken away.

poor marks for dash cam man,who could have difused the whole situation, thus potentially saving someones life.

Dealt with by the management team according to the reply. Surely being sacked was the only option. That went a little bit beyond a mistake in my opinion. If you’re going to overtake another road user in an artic on a single lane road in the dark (not that I would) you should be hyper vigilant. He obviously wasn’t even looking where he was going.

The only thing I’d say in his defence is that the island sign does appear to be partially obscured by a bush.

Limit was 40 max and if car was doing that speed then only one driver to blame and he’s driving the truck.

Just have to hope you don’t come across him/her on the road.

It’s hard to say how good or bad a place that was to overtake though it did look quite dodgy to me, but disregarding the fact that he probably shouldn’t have been overtaking in the first place, initially his mistake/misjudgement was to overtake when he hadn’t got time to complete the manoeuvre.

I wasn’t referring to his later actions as a mistake :open_mouth:

oh right,see what you mean.

initial decision to overtake was a mistake.

These are the sort of risk taking manoeuvres everyone talks about when the 40mph speed limit subject comes up.

While you have drivers who are more impatient/in a rush then this will happen.

Darby Flyer:

Road safety parameters shouldn’t be set to appease those who are impatient or working to near impossible deadlines. In my humble opinion.

Wait till the EU fit a GPS speed limiter in the cab, then people really will have something to moan about :grimacing:

The Interlink Express Management Team is aware of this incident and takes it extremely seriously. After this video came to our attention, we carried out a full investigation and subsequently took the appropriate action.

^^^^
Still cant see it but thanks. It’s a shame they did not go on to say what action they took, if any!!

Why do you want to know what action was taken? Would it impact on you in any way?

They did. They said they took the appropriate action.

What planet are you on?

The only dangerous driver was the one driving around the roundabout the wrong way.

The Interlink driver was overtaking on a curve, there is no way he could have seen what would have been coming until he was close to the front of the other truck. He might have thought he was on a duel carriageway but that just shows his lack of concentration. He also made no indication that he had made a mistake either by braking earlier or putting a left indicator on which shows he knew what he was doing and was doing it deliberately. The speed he went onto the roundabout shows he was intent on getting ahead of the other truck.

There was no appalling driving by the other driver, his only mistake was posting it on YouTube where the usual Trucknet brigade berate them and support someone who has no place on our roads.
